Optical DO and Polarographic DO
TruDO Optical oxygen sensor will measure the dissolved oxygen concentration accurately down to 10 ppb.
This sensor uses fluorescence rather than acid, anode and cathode like traditional oxygen sensors.
You get a very stable sensor with very little maintenance, and it can even be used as stand-alone or connected to a traditional oxygen transmitter.
The secret is a balanced system with LED, fluorescent layer and photodiodes, that does not suffer from any of the disadvantages that is typical when measuring DO.
This new technology is about to replace the old polarografic oxygen sensors, due to:
- No need for polarization
- Long maintenance intervals
- Very reliable with no risk of contamination
The Finesse TruDO optical can be connected to both existing DO transmitters, and fermentor systems using either a Power adapter or a new cable and 24 VDC power supply.
TruDO Optical is available in the lengths 120 mm, 160 mm, 225 mm, 325 mm and 425 mm.
For DN25 socket, TruDO Optical fits in ordinary housing for pH-electrodes.
The polarografic sensor TruDO is also available, and can be connected directly to almost any DO transmitter or fermentor system.
An advantage of TruDO is a very short polarization time compared to other polarografic sensors.
The anode/cathode center is exchangeable, but endures many cultivations.
